General Information
What is San Ramon Valley Village?
San Ramon Valley Village is a community-based nonprofit organization that helps older adults stay active, independent, and socially connected while living safely in their own homes. We connect members with opportunities to build meaningful friendships, trusted volunteers to help them and referrals to local resources.
What areas does SRVV serve?
We serve the greater San Ramon Valley area, including San Ramon, Danville, Alamo, and nearby neighborhoods.
Membership
Who can become a member?
Anyone aged 55+ who lives in our service area and values staying independent and engaged is welcome to join.
What does membership include?
Access to social activities, educational programs, community connections that make daily living more enjoyable and volunteer assistance (rides, errands, tech help).
How much does it cost?
Individual memberships cost $375 / year or $34 / month.
Why do we charge membership fees?
It costs money to run a business, even a nonprofit.
We have to pay for insurance and a CPA to do our taxes.
We have a P. O. Box and website that costs money and we need stationary and cards.
We have marketing costs to promote our Village and attract members and volunteers.
The main reason for our fees are to enhance and improve the events and activities we provide to our members. We buy materials for arts and craft activities and sometimes pay for professional speakers and presenters. We sometimes have to pay for facility rentals and catering costs or food and beverage costs.
